Lok Baintan Floating Market, Banjar Regency, South Kalimantan, Indonesia

Floating market is a famous icon of thousand river city, Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan. Banjarmasin has two floating markets like Kuin Floating Market and Lok Baintan Floating Market. Here I will tell you about Lok Baintan Floating Market

If we want to go to this place, we must wake up early, about 4 am and we need to make a reservation to the  'kelotok' owner to rent his. The price is about Rp. 200.000 - Rp.250.000 and it can be for 10-20 people. So make sure that you have friends to share the cost or if you want, you can get the cost by your self.

"Hanging Bridge of Lok Baintan" is the best choice if you want to take a great angel for your photographs. On it we can see the seller who use 'kelotok' throughout the river. To reach this pleace we just need no more than 2 hours.

In this moment, I went to this place with my new friends who I've known from Banjarmasin Traveller. Three from Jakarta and three from Banjarmasin. I really enjoy this journey.

This is Dian and I. I bought a bunch of 'Rambutan' from the seller there. Can't you imagine, my breakfast that day is Rambutan... Ho ho ho.... the first time in my life... But Thank God, there is nothing running wrong in my stomacache.

I bought Rambutan from this man.... hehheheee ^_^

Some photos above are the activities of sellers happens in Lok Baintan floating Market.

This is also a recomended place for you when you visit Banjarmasin. You need to try "SOTO BANJAR" because it a special culiner from Banjarmasin. It has special teste than other Soto all around Indonesia. "soto bang amat" is one of some recomended restaurant that you can visit. It is easy to reach this place because when we go to Lok Baintan we pass this place, so this is a good alternative for the brunch.

We took this photo when we went back to the hotel where my friends from Jakarta stay that day. This is in Maskot Park of Banjarmasin. You see! the statue is "Bekantan" the pauna from Borneo, it's from monkey family but has a long nose. This place is so close from the quay to Lok Baintan. So, don't be doubt to see this park.

Hey.... after going to Lok Baintan, I decided to accompany my friends to go to Martapura. There, we are separated... they continued to Loksado and I must back to Banjarmasin.
Okey... Buddies... if you're interested to visit Banjarmasin and have no friend to ask for accompanying, you can contact me. If I am not busy, it's a pleasure to be your host.

See ya....! I Love My Indonesia...

#Hope... I can travel around Indonesia and this world...
